It is possible to stick to your sustainability goals during the best happy hours!
We know very well how this will happen. Let’s pay attention to us.
Today we care about World Water Day, 22th March, to valuing water and raise awareness of the billions of people living without access to safe water. It is about taking action to tackle the global water crisis. A core focus of World Water Day is to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030. This goal comprises ensuring availability and sustainable management of water for all.
World Water Day is an annual United Nations observance focusing on the importance of freshwater. For that day, UN-Water sets the annual theme. In 2021, the theme is valuing water.
Previous themes can be found here: www.worldwaterday.org/archives
On 22 March, people and organizations host World Water Day events and participate in the global public campaign. And as Pubinno, we are also proud to be a part of World Water Day!
Under the theme of valuing water, this year’s campaign is initiating a global, public discussion on social media about how people esteem water for all its uses. In addition to that, on World Water Day, 22 March, the UN World Water Development Report 2021 on ‘Valuing Water’ will be launched.
The aim is to build a more extensive understanding of how water is valued by different people in different contexts. The central narrative of the campaign is designed to encourage people to contribute their stories, thoughts and experiences on the value of water:
Water means different things to different people.
- How important is water to your home and family life, your livelihood, your cultural practices, your wellbeing, your local environment?
- In cultural, religious and spiritual places, water can mean a connection with creation, community and oneself.
- Today, water is under extreme threat because of a growing population, increasing demands of agriculture and industry, and the worsening impacts of climate change.
As the future of draft beer, Pubinno is providing the Internet of Beer. For this very reason, water means the future for us. We know that there is no future in drought. And we are aware of the extensive water consumption in the draft beer industry. Our innovation team works hard with this awareness and sense of responsibility. As a result, Pubinno designs digital solutions with a focus on disrupting the draft beer industry.
For a bigger and more comprehensive impact, Pubinno creates innovative solutions following the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations to serve sustainability and move into the future!
The Sustainable Development Goal #6 is included to substantially increase water-use efficiency across all sectors by 2030. We know that the third most consumed drink in the world is beer. According to SABMiller’s sustainability report, for 1 liter of beer, 50 to 155 liters of water is consumed from the field until it reaches the end consumer. In the meantime, Pubinno technologies are saving up to 20% per keg in draft beer systems which will have an instant and direct impact in creating a more sustainable and efficient brewing ecosystem.
We are currently in over a thousand locations in 5 countries with our Smart Taps.To present a projection, with estimated growth rate of Pubinno, we will provide 5000+ Pubs with Pubinno Service next year! Thus, the target of the beer pouring from Pubinno taps will be 10 million liters this year and 1 billion liters of beer per year by 2030.
This means for us to move into the future with joy and responsibility by achieving 20% water savings in billions liters of beer and contributing to reaching the SDGs Goal of #6.
We are proud that we saved more than 100 Million liters of water so far with Pubinno technologies!
